Netflix and AMC Networks are extending their streaming partnership to bring seasons of more new and upcoming AMC-owned series, like “Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order,” and library titles, including “Orphan Black,” onto the mega streamer. An expansion of the existing deal between Netflix and AMC Networks, the new pact will offer Netflix subscribers in the U.S. access to new seasons of current AMC Studios franchises including “Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire” Season 2, which will be available Sept. 30, “Dark Winds” Season 3 and “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” Season 2, both of which will be available in October, as well as the second seasons of “The Walking Dead: Dead City” and “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches.”
Set to debut Oct. 26 on the linear channel AMC, the first season of “Anne Rice’s Talamasca: The Secret Order” will stream on Netflix “sometime next year.”
Some of these series will be available to Netflix subscribers outside the U.S. in select markets. In addition to these currently airing TV series, Netflix is gaining access to the following AMC Networks library titles: “Orphan Black,” spinoff “Orphan Black: Echoes,” “Parish,” “This is Going to Hurt,” “NOS4A2” and “Soulmates.” Netflix’s existing lineup of now-ended AMC Studios shows includes “Fear the Walking Dead,” “A Discovery of Witches” and “Pantheon.” The expansion of AMC-Netflix partnership comes as no surprise, given the lucrative results of the initial pact for both sides: Per Netflix’s viewership data, AMC shows available on Netflix in the second half of 2024 and first half of 2025 drew 210 million global views, and AMC has seen increased linear viewership and AMC+ subscriptions specifically tied to new seasons of shows that gained a wider audience on Netflix.
“We are pleased to expand and extend our branded content licensing agreement with Netflix, with an even stronger focus on the franchises that are resonating with viewers and performing so well on Netflix,” AMC Networks CEO Kristin Dolan said. “This renewal also brings some of our franchise titles, including forthcoming seasons, to Netflix subscribers in select international markets, complementing our own international reach. Our ability to produce great shows and make them available to viewers across a wide variety of platforms is driving our company forward in this changing time in media. Netflix has been an incredibly valuable partner, helping raise awareness and interest in our popular and acclaimed AMC Studios series.”
