Ariana Madix has joined the cast of “St. Denis Medical” Season 2 as a guest star. She will play Dr. Emerson in the NBC mockumentary sitcom, which follows “an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital where the dedicated doctors and nurses try their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity,” per the official logline. In Season 2, “after receiving a large private donation, hospital administrator Joyce (Wendi McLendon-Covey) bites off more than she can chew, while her employees navigate staff shortages, office conflicts and their own personal lives.”
“St. Denis Medical” continues Madix’s relationship with NBCUniversal, where she rose to fame as a cast member on the popular Bravo series “Vanderpump Rules” from 2013 to 2024. Since 2023, she has hosted the Peacock dating series “Love Island USA.” Though she is best known as a reality TV personality — having been named one of Variety‘s most powerful women on reality TV in 2023 and 2024 — her acting career has kicked off more recently. Notably, she starred as Roxie Hart in “Chicago” on Broadway in 2024.
Madix is repped by Venture Entertainment Partners, the Gersh Agency, Guttman Associates and Hanson, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Richman, Rush, Kaller, Gellman, Meigs, and Fox. “St. Denis Medical” returns for Season 2 on Nov. 3. Along with McLendon-Covey, the cast includes David Alan Grier, Allison Tolman, Josh Lawson, Kahyun Kim, Mekki Leeper and Kaliko Kauahi. Justin Spitzer co-created the series with showrunner Eric Ledgin, and both executive produce alongside Simon Heuer, Ruben Fleischer, Bridget Kyle and Vicky Luu. Universal Television produces with More Bees, Inc. and Spitzer Holding Company.
