‘Big Brother’ Premiere Week Ratings Climb 11% From Last Year
A “season of mystery” has uncovered some double-digit ratings growth for CBS’ “Big Brother.” According to the Eye network, the show’s premiere week (with episodes airing on July 10 and July 13) averaged 4.9 million viewers in live+7 multiplatform viewership. That’s up 11% from last summer’s premiere week.
On Paramount+, streaming on the series is up 9% year-to-year, the network said. And through the show’s first two weeks (with episodes on July 10, July 13, July 16, July 17 and July 20), viewership is holding steady with a season-to-date multiplatform average of 4.8 million viewers. That’s up 9% from last year’s first two weeks.

Also, per CBS, season-to-date of “Big Brother” Season 27 has reached “nearly 26 million unique viewers across broadcast on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.” On Paramount+, since its July 10 premiere, “Big Brother” is that platform’s No. 1 unscripted program and the No. 7 program overall in reach and total time spent.

Julie Chen Moonves hosts “Big Brother,” which airs 90-minute episodes on Wednesdays (8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ET) and hour-long shows on Thursdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. “Big Brother” live feeds also run on Paramount+ and Pluto TV.
Here’s this summer’s logline: “16 new houseguests and one ‘mystery player’ move into Hotel Mystère on July 10. This season’s cast includes a professional bull rider, event curator, marketing manager, AI consultant, aura painter, attorney and a dungeon master, among others. This new group of houseguests is stepping into a summer where nothing is as it seems, where every twist rewrites the rules, and every turn conceals a hidden agenda.” Season 13 winner Rachel Reilly, a two-time Big Brother player, was revealed to be that mystery guest.

Also, companion series “Big Brother: Unlocked,” hosted by previous winners Taylor Hale and Derrick Levasseur, airs bi-weekly on Fridays at 8 p.m ET starting last week.
