Camb AI has announced two new partnerships that will allow film and sports coverage from India to be more easily digestible for fans who want the content to be translated into a different language. The company revealed that it is partnering with both FanCode and The India Today Group in order to allow for real-time translation for sports and news, respectively. “As a leading sports-tech platform, we take great pride in constantly innovating to enhance how fans experience sport,” FanCode co-founder Yannick Colaco said via a press release on Sunday. “We are delighted to work with like-minded partners in Camb AI, and use AI to revolutionize sports broadcasting in India. With India’s incredible linguistic diversity, it’s exciting to see fans now follow the action in the language of their choice. Our teams will continue working together to build more such AI-led solutions that brings fans closer to the game.”
“Sports are universal, but language has always been a barrier to scale,” added Camb AI co-founder and CTO Akshat Prakash via the press release. “With FanCode, we are proving that AI can deliver real-time multilingual commentary at broadcast-grade quality, making every ball of a cricket match accessible and engaging to all fans. This partnership is validation of our growth strategy in India’s sports ecosystem.”
Camb AI’s similar collaboration with The India Today Group was announced on Sept. 12. “The enhanced capability adds inclusivity to credibility by making trusted journalism accessible to a more diverse audience,” said Samkhya Edamaruku, group managing editor of production of India Today. “By leveraging AI to overcome language barriers in news production, we’re dedicated to ensuring that quality information reaches everyone, contributing to a more informed and connected world.”
