Erin O’Malley, a veteran television producer and director who worked on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “New Girl,” has signed with CAA for representation. O’Malley started her career on Larry David’s HBO sitcom as a co-producer on its third season. She stayed on through Season 8, working her way up to producer and then executive producer. O’Malley returned to the series for Season 10 as a director and scored a best director of a comedy series nomination at the DGA Awards.
She continued to work with some of comedy’s most prominent voices, producing Sacha Baron Cohen’s HBO series “Da Ali G Show” and Comedy Central’s “The Sarah Silverman Program.” Plus, O’Malley climbed the ladder at “New Girl,” moving up from a producer to co-executive producer to an executive producer across seven seasons of the Zooey Deschanel-led sitcom. She also directed 10 episodes of the Fox comedy.
O’Malley’s EP and director credits also extend to ABC’s “Single Parents” and “Bless This Mess,” as well as “Doogie Kamealoha, MD,” “The Crossover,” “The Big Leap” and “American Born Chinese,” which are all for Disney+ under O’Malley’s overall deal with 20th Television. Most recently, she executive produced and directed Season 2 of Disney+’s “Goosebumps.” O’Malley is currently filming two episodes of the upcoming Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson comedy series “Brothers,” from Skydance and Apple. The 10-episode series follows the real-life movie star friends as their combined families (made up of actors playing their children) attempt to live together on McConaughey’s ranch in Texas.
O’Malley continues to be repped by Rise Management.
