‘Don’t Get High’: Hulu Comedy Pilot Sets Main Cast, Including Tony Hale, Michelle Buteau
The Hulu comedy pilot “Don’t Get High” has set its cast, Variety has learned.
Variety exclusively reported that the pilot was in the works back in May. The series regular cast will now include: Tony Hale (“Arrested Development,” “Veep”), Ashley Brooke (“A Small Light,” “White House Plumbers”), Olivia Gill (“Ava,” “Yinz”), Oscar Williams (“Poker Face,” “FBI: Most Wanted”), Erin Morton (“Heathers: The Musical” off-Broadway), and Daniel Rosales.
In addition, Michelle Buteau (“Survival of the Thickest,” “Babes”), Casey Wilson (“Happy Endings,” “The Shrink Next Door”), Dan Thompson (“Life & Beth,” “Three Women”), Macoy Stewart (“The Summer I Turned Pretty,” “Doom Patrol”) and Chloe Hakola will all appear in guest star roles in the pilot.

The logline for “Don’t Get High” states, “An alpha dork (Brooke) and her merry gang of dweebs start an anti-drug group at their high school to make friends and influence people. It doesn’t go well.”
Megan Ganz serves as writer, executive producer, and showrunner on the pilot. Adam Fishbach and Mara Herron will also executive produce. 20th Television is the studio.
