Fangoria Signs with Gersh to Drive Global Content Expansion
Fangoria, a horror film magazine and multimedia entertainment company, has signed with Gersh for representation to continue its expansion into film and TV production and international media distribution.
Originally founded in 1979 as a print publication covering horror films, Fangoria has evolved into a media brand that spans across editorial, movies and series, podcasting, merchandise and brand partnerships. Additionally, the media company hosts its annual Fangoria Chainsaw Awards, which celebrate excellence across horror film, TV and gaming with over one million fans voting across 20 categories.

“Fangoria has always been the definitive home for the horror community, and our studio philosophy says it best: Everyone screams in the same language,” Abhi Goel, Co-Owner of Fangoria, said.

He continued, “This collaboration with Gersh represents the next thrilling chapter in that mission – welcoming companies and partners globally to expand what horror can be. We’re excited to partner with Gersh’s world-class team to provide the support and space that creators, brands, and businesses need to bring their unique voices to the global stage.”
Fangoria plans to accelerate its content development initiatives and IP library while venturing into film packaging and financing, global fan conventions and immersive experiences. Its partnership with Gersh will also support Fangoria’s plans to scale globally and introduce horror storytelling to diverse new audiences across domestic and international markets.
“Horror is truly a universal language that connects us all through shared emotions and the power of scary stories,” Tara Ansley, Co-Owner of Fangoria, said. “We believe this genre is for everyone, transcending cultural boundaries to unite audiences worldwide. What excites me most is the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the incredible international horror voices that deserve wider recognition.

Ansley added, “Fangoria has spent decades supporting genre creators worldwide, and this partnership allows us to take that mission further – connecting audiences with authentic stories from every corner of the globe. There’s such rich horror storytelling happening internationally that fans are hungry to discover.”
Fangoria Studios recently announced a collaboration with Japanese horror manga author and artist Junji Ito to produce three stories from his “Smashed” story collection series. The studio is also developing an original horror film with Anna Chazelle based on the one of the Greek gorgon sisters, Medusa.
Fangoria’s global reach extends to over 7 million horror fans monthly. The company has also previously partnered with industry key players like Paramount Pictures, Blumhouse, A24 and Neon to create high-profile fan celebrations as well as publish high-profile editorial pieces.
