HRTS Announces Board of Directors, Advisory Council Members; New Legacy Scholarship
The Hollywood Radio and Television Society has elected a new roster of Board of Directors and Advisory Council members. HRTS‘ board includes 11 new directors and 19 returning directors; the group also announced an additional 18 advisory council members.
News was announced Thursday by HRTS Board of Directors prexy Tim McNeal, HRTS chairperson David Madden and HRTS CEO and HRTS Foundation chairperson Melissa Grego.

“We are thrilled to welcome our newly elected board members and advisory council members, as they each bring tremendous experience, expertise and relationships to HRTS at such a pivotal time for our industry and for many of our members,” McNeal said in a statement. “Our board representatives and members alike are comprised of creative and working professionals from across the entire entertainment industry, representing many of the leading studios, networks and streaming platforms.”

Also announced Thursday, the HRTS Foundation will launching the HRTS Legacy Scholarship, an annual scholarship that will help mid- and early-career HRTS members to pay membership dues, and also assist students affected by recent layoffs and natural disasters, or are underrepresented or lack financial means. HRTS said the new scholarship is expected to support up to 300 members, and will be funded entirely by HRTS Board of Directors, HRTS Foundation and Advisory Council members’ own personal donations. New HRTS Directors beginning a three-year term that starts in November 2025 are JoAnn Alfano (executive vice president, current programming, Universal Television); Vivian Cannon (executive vice president, drama development, Universal Television); Cliff Decatrel (producer/founder/CEO, Deca Media); Christopher King (senior vice president, drama development, Sony Pictures Television); Linnea McArt (VP and managing director, 1st Century Bank, HRTS Treasurer); Ryan O’Dowd (president of unscripted, BBC Studios); Josh Hornstock (partner, United Talent Agency); Rose Catherine Pinkney (media executive, producer and consultant); Bryan Seabury (executive vice president, drama development, CBS Studios); Amir Shahkhalili (senior partner and head of non-scripted TV, WME); and Joshua Sussman (head of business affairs, Disney Entertainment Television).

Returning directors are Kate Adler (executive vice president, comedy development, CBS Studios); Paul Buccieri (president & chairman, A+E Global Media); Kathryn Busby (president, original programming, Starz); Albert Cheng (vice president, head of AI studios, Amazon MGM Studios); Christina Davis (producer and executive, Amazon Studios); Jaime Feld (co-head, TV talent, CAA); Scott Hervey (shareholder, Weintraub Tobin Chediak Coleman Grodin Law Corporation); Greg Lipstone (president & COO, Voxovation; CEO, Stockholm Syndrome); David Madden (president, Webtoon Productions); Philippe Maigret (president & managing director, ITV Studios America); Tim McNeal (senior vice president, creative talent development & inclusion, Disney Television Studios, Disney Entertainment); Andrew Miller (agent, television department, CAA); DJ Nurre (executive producer, Amplify Pictures), Brett Paul (president, Warner Bros. The Advisory Council, comprised of past board members, will also serve three-year terms starting this month. The members are: Charlie Andrews (executive vice president, live action, Disney Branded Television); Bela Bajaria (chief content officer, Netflix); Stephen Davis (managing partner, Still Pictures); Tara Duncan (president, Onyx Collective); Dan Erlij (partner, co-head, television literary department, United Talent Agency); Andy Friendly (president, Andy Friendly Productions); Kelly Goode (media executive & consultant); Frank Jung (founder & CEO, Franchise Media Collective); Lisa Katz (president, scripted content, NBC Universal); Marc Korman (partner & agent, WME Entertainment); Jordan Levin (professor of practice, The University of Texas at Austin, Moody College of Communication, Department of Radio-Television-Film); Gary Marenzi (founder/CEO, Marenzi & Associates); John Morayniss (CEO, Blink49 Studios); Gary Newman (executive partner, Attention Capital); Eric Schrier (president, Disney Television Studios & global original television strategy, Disney Entertainment); Beatrice Springborn (president, UPC and Universal International Studios, Universal Studio Group); Erin Underhill (president, Universal Television); and Chris von Goetz (founder, Adventure Media).

HRTS leadership includes execs from A+E Global Media, Amazon MGM Studios, BBC Studios, CAA, NBCUniversal, Netflix, Paramount, Sony, Starz, The Walt Disney Company, UTA, Warner Bros. Discovery, WME and more.
