“Ink Master” is back for Season 17, and this time the competition has a theme: “hometown heroes.” The show, hosted by Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden (who also founded music companies Veeps and MDDN), returns on Paramount+ on Wednesday, Oct. 29 with three new episodes. After that, the show will continue to roll out new episodes weekly. “Ink Master” is available on Paramount+ globally except in Japan. Truly Original is the production company behind the show; besides Madden, also returning are judges (and three-time “Ink Master” champ) DJ Tambe, Ryan Ashley (the first female tattoo artist to win the competition) and famed tattoo artist and Nikko Hurtado.
Per the logline: “In the new season of ‘Ink Master,’ 15 new artists compete as “hometown heroes,” vying for a $250,000 prize in the ultimate tattoo competition, and for the opportunity to put their hometowns on the map. With reputations and regional pride on the line, contestants will put their skills to the test in a series of epic, high-stakes challenges, proving their artistry and versatility to impress the judges. Only one will win the money and earn the title of ‘Ink Master.'” Glenda Hersh, Steven Weinstock and Andrea Richter are exec producers for Truly Original. Daniel Blau Rogge and Jennifer Aguirre are also executive producers and Angela Liao is executive in charge of production for MTV Entertainment Studios.
