Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan’s Kilter Films has brought on Mariel Redlin to serve as an executive for television development and production, Variety has learned exclusively. Redlin joins Kilter from Range Media Partners, where she was vice president of television. Kilter Films’ Noreen O’Toole will continue in her role as producer overseeing marketing and publicity and Halle Phillips will continue working across marketing and development. Joy and Nolan are at the head of Kilter alongside their producing partner, Athena Wickham.
“I’m excited to join the extraordinary team at Kilter under the visionary leadership of Jonah, Lisa, and Athena,” Redlin said. “Their track record speaks for itself, and I’ve long admired their commitment to bold, genre-pushing, culture-shaping storytelling. I can’t wait to dive headfirst into this new chapter with this boundary breaking team.”
In addition to her time at Range Media Partners, Redlin was previously a vice president of development and production at Automatik and held positions at both BBC America and WME. In her career, she has worked on series including “Kaleidoscope,” “Black Rabbit,” and “The Nightbeast.” “We’re thrilled that Mariel has joined us. She’s a smart, talented executive, and a perfect fit with the rest of the lunatics here at Kilter” said Joy and Nolan. Kilter currently produces the hit Prime Video series “Fallout,” which is currently prepping to release its second season in December and has already been renewed for a third. In addition, Kilter has partnered with Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society to produce the TV adaptation of Rebecca Yarros’ adult fantasy novel “Fourth Wing” for Amazon, while they will also produce a live-action adaptation of the “Wolfenstein” games for Amazon. The company is also known for producing “The Peripheral” starring Chloe Grace Moretz for Amazon as well as for the hit series “Westworld” at HBO and “Person of Interest” at CBS
