‘Landman’ Season 2 Teaser Welcomes Sam Elliott to the West Texas Oil Patch
Paramount+ has released the first teaser trailer for “Landman” Season 2.
As previously announced, the second season of the hit drama series will debut on Nov. 16. In the teaser, Cami Miller (Demi Moore) asserts herself as the new sole owner of M-Tex oil following the death of her husband in Season 1. The teaser also offers a first look at Sam Elliott’s character, known only as T.L. or “pop” as Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) calls him. No further details are available about the character.

The official logline for “Landman” states that it is “set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas and is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the notable 11-part podcast ‘Boomtown’ from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.
Along with Moore, Thornton, and Elliott, the Season 2 cast also includes Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan, and Colm Feore.
The show was well received by audiences upon its release. According to Nielsen streaming data, the show ranked No. 8 on the top 10 chart for all SVOD originals for Q4 2024. According to Paramount, the show also had the most watched global premiere and finale of any series in the history of Paramount+. Thornton also nabbed a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a drama series for his work on the show.

Taylor Sheridan co-created “Landman” with Christian Wallace, with both also serving as executive producers. Additional executive producers include David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Thornton, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, Stephen Kay, Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch for Imperative Entertainment, and J.K. Nickell and Megan Creydt for Texas Monthly. Tommy Turtle serves as co-executive producer. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios (formerly MTV Entertainment Studios), 101 Studios, and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions.
