‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Season 5 Premiere to Air on Both NBC and Peacock
“Law & Order: Organized Crime” will be the first “Law & Order” series to stream exclusively on Peacock — but it will also debut on NBC.
Last May, it was revealed that the Dick Wolf spinoff, led by Christopher Meloni, would become a “Peacock original,” moving to the streaming service exclusively for Season 5. On Tuesday, NBCUniversal announced that in addition to streaming, the Season 5 premiere will also air on NBC at 10 p.m. ET.
The debut will follow a crossover between “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: SVU,” airing from 8-10 p.m. Per the official logline, “A mysterious phone call to Capt. Benson of the SVU leads detectives to the scene of a brutal murder. When the SVU and the 2-7 uncover a pattern of rape and murder targeting marginalized women, Carisi and ADA Price team up to charge the suspect with multiple crimes.”

“Found,” which usually airs in that 10 p.m. timeslot will move to Monday, April 14, before returning to the Thursday timeslot the following week.

While the “Organized Crime” premiere will not be part of the crossover event, “SVU” lead Mariska Hargitay previously told Variety to expect the shows to overlap despite living on two different platforms.
“I’m actually planning on it,” she said. “They want us together, and Chris and I were talking about it, and it’s time. It’s time now for us. This was a long time not being in each other’s universe. That’s why we did the calls and stuff like that. But we’re excited to get back in there, get back in the ring.”
“Organized Crime,” produced by Universal Television and Wolf Entertainment, follows Meloni as Det. Elliot Stabler, now running the Organized Crime Control Bureau. The cast includes Danielle Moné Truitt, Rick Gonzalez, Olivia Thirlby, Ainsley Seiger and Dean Norris.
Season 5 will dive back into “the dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism and a crime family intent on repaying Stabler for the injury he did them in Rome. As his worlds collide, Stabler will put everything on the line to protect the vulnerable and fight for justice.”
Along with Wolf and Meloni, executive producers include Matt Olmstead, John Shiban, Mike Slovis, Peter Jankowski and Tim Walsh.
