“The Librarians: The Next Chapter” is launching on TNT with a two-night premiere event starting Sunday, May 25.
As a spin-off of the original “Librarians” series, “The Next Chapter” follows the time-traveling Vikram Chamberlain (Callum McGowan) who finds himself stuck in the present. The official synopsis reads: “When Vikram returns to his castle in Belgrade, Serbia and discovers that it is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. With the help of a new team of eclectic heroes, including a savant in world history, a scientific genius, and a highly skilled Guardian, Vikram has only six months to clean up the mess he made.”

The twelve-episode series features McGowan (“Jamestown”), Jessica Green (“The Outpost”), Olivia Morris (“Hotel Portofino”) and Bluey Robinson (“Britannia”), with Christian Kane reprising his role as Jacob Stone. The series is produced by Electric Entertainment with “The Pitt” star Noah Wyle producing.

In a statement, Turner Networks’ president Jason Sarlanis said: “The original ‘Librarians’ was a top-rated series on TNT for four seasons and we are thrilled to bring ‘The Next Chapter’ home to our network, with all of the spellbinding adventures, legendary magic and mystique that fans love.”

Alexander Skarsgård goes rogue in the new trailer for “Murderbot.”
Based on the best-selling book series by Martha Wells, the sci-fi comedy “Murderbot” stars Skarsgård as a security unit forced to hide its free will and complete a dangerous task. The cast includes Noma Dumezweni (“Presumed Innocent”), David Dastmalchian (“Late Night with the Devil”), Sabrina Wu (“Abbott Elementary”), Akshaye Khanna (“Chhaava”), Tattiawna Jones (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) and Tamara Podemski (“Reservation Dogs”).
The show comes from Paramount Television Studios with Chris and Paul Weitz (“American Pie”) writing, directing and producing under their Depth of Field banner.
The ten-episode series will premiere globally on Apple TV+ with the first two episodes Friday, May 16. New episodes will then drop weekly on Fridays. Watch the trailer below.

“Next Gen NYC,” a new reality series, will arrive on Bravo June 3. Ariana Biermann, Riley Burruss, Ava Dash, Emira D’Spain, Shai Fruchter, Gia Giudice, Brooks Marks, Georgia McCann, Hudson McLeroy and Charlie Zakkour make up the New York-based cast.

Produced by 9th Degree Productions, “Next Gen NYC” follows “a tangled web of friends raised in the spotlight — or at least close enough for good lighting — as they stumble into adulthood one brunch, breakup and spontaneous decision at a time,” according to a press release.
The series also features “The Real Housewives” stars including Kandi Burruss, Teresa Guidice, Meredith and Seth Marks and Kim Zolciak-Biermann. Michaline Babich, Shari Levine, David O’Connell, Chaz Morgan, Michelle Schiefen, Lauren Nathan and Ariel Algus executive produce.
Episodes of “Next Gen NYC” will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.

Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman are back on the road in the Apple TV+ series “Long Way Home.”
As a continuation of their previous adventures in “Long Way Round,” “Long Way Down” and “Long Way Up,” McGregor and his lifelong friend travel through the Arctic Circle, Scandinavia, Scotland to England. The adventure takes them through fifteen countries, in which they meet locals and try different activities.
The series is executive produced by McGregor and Boorman, alongside collaborators and directors David Alexanian and Russ Malkin.
“Long Way Home” premieres on Apple TV+ starting April 9. Watch the official trailer below.

The futuristic world based on Tony DiTerlizzi’s bestselling book series is back in the trailer for Apple TV+’s “WondLa” Season 2.
The official Season 2 synopsis reads: “Picking up from season one’s shocking cliffhanger, Eva is drawn toward the promise of home — but new discoveries only lead to more unanswered questions. As she searches for the truth, Eva finds herself pursued by a relentless force that believes she holds the key to something far greater than she ever imagined.”
This season’s voice cast includes Jeanine Mason (“Roswell, New Mexico”), Brad Garrett (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), Anthony Williams (“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows”) with new voices including John Kim (“Cruel Intentions”) and Ana Villafañe (“Castro’s Daughter”).

Prime Video is launching a new documentary series from Tom Brady and Gotham Chopra following Birmingham City’s promotion to the EFL Sky Bet Championship.
“Embedded camera crews have followed the First-Team players, coaching staff and key ownership figures from pre-season to promotion,” the official synopsis for the series reads. “Beyond the day-to-day football operations, the documentary will also explore the unique cultural heritage of Birmingham City and a supporter base who have remained loyal despite a sustained period without success or silverware.”
The series is executive produced by “Peaky Blinders” creator Steven Knight, with Matt Alvarez (“Straight Outta Compton”) executive producing. Producers include Religion of Sports and Whisper.
The untitled series is set to launch worldwide this summer.
Season 4 of FX’s “Welcome to Wrexham” is premiering Thursday, May 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT with the first two episodes.
The new season stars Rob McElhenney (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Ryan Reynolds (“Deadpool”) as they run the third oldest professional football club. The eight-episode docuseries follows the working-class city of Wrexham as McElhenney and Reynolds use their Hollywood status to guide the historic team.
“Welcome to Wrexham” is executive produced by McElhenney, Reynolds, Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Nick Frenkel, George Dewey and Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma and Andy Thomas.
“The Chi” has added cast members Phylicia Rashad, Wendy Raquel Robinson and Karrueche Tran as guest stars in Season 7.
Rashad plays Renee, Robinson plays Riley Dalton and Tran plays Zuri.
The season will premiere May 16 on Paramount+ for those with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscription and then debuts on-air May 18.
The series is “a timely coming-of-age story centering on a group of residents on the South Side of Chicago who become linked by coincidence but bonded by the need for connection and redemption,” per the official logline.
Lena Waithe created “The Chi” and also serves as an executive producer.
The Paley Museum is bringing iconic costumes and artifacts from “I Love Lucy,” “The Honeymooners,” “The Andy Griffith Show,” “Happy Days” and more in the “Classic TV Comes to Life: Television Treasures from the Dr. Stewart Berkowitz Collection” exhibit opening April 16 at the Paley Museum in Manhattan.

Items in the exhibit include Lucy Ricardo’s blue skirt and blazer from “I Love Lucy,” Ralph & Alice Kramden and Ed and Trixie Norton’s outfits from “The Honeymooners” and “The Jackie Gleason Show,” Fonzie’s leather jacket from “Happy Days,” Barney Fife’s uniform in “The Andy Griffith Show,” Sister Bertrille’s nun hat and coronet from “The Flying Nun” and Captain Stuffing’s suit from “The Love Boat.”
“Generations of TV fans grew up with Johnny Carson, Lucy & Ricky Ricardo, Ralph Kramden, Fonzie, and others, and we are thrilled to welcome visitors of all ages to experience this heartwarming trip through some of the most beloved shows in television history,” The Paley Center for Media’s president and CEO Maureen J. Reidy said in a statement. “We extend our deepest thanks to the Berkowitz family for their support and partnership.”
Additionally, visitors will be able to take part in a photo op with a talk show set from “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.” The exhibit will remain open through Sunday, May 25.
A new gaming company called the Global Gaming League has gained a $10 million fund from Solyco Capital.
Music producer Clinton Sparks founded GGL, alongside T-Pain and tech entrepreneur Jeff Hoffman.
The GGL involves celebrity-owned teams consisting of four high-profile players participating in live competition events. The matches will be held in Las Vegas.
“The Global Gaming League is positioned to make gaming a household name in the same manner that the WWE did with wrestling and the UFC did with mixed martial arts, by systemizing and democratizing an industry that already exists with billions of users and hundreds of billions already being generated,” Sparks said in a statement.
