Netflix Sets Cast for Coming of Age Drama Series ‘The Body’
Netflix has set the main cast for the coming of age drama “The Body,” Variety has learned.
The series was originally announced with an eight-episode order back in May. The official logline states, “After a dance-team initiation gone wrong, a group of badly behaved Catholic school girls begin having prophetic visions that set off mass hysteria in their town.”
Series regulars for the show will be: Kristina Bogic (“Playing Gracie Darling,” “Howl”) as Anya Butler, Sara Boustany (“Hello Beautiful,” “PEN15”) as Elise Zakaria, Geena Meszaros (“The Order,” “Wayward”) as Lisbeth Anderson, Nnamdi Asomugha (“The Knife,” “The Savant”) as Father Franklin, Louisa Krause (“King Kelly,” “The Dive”) as Catherine Anderson, Shirley Chen (“Slanted,” “Didi”) as Maddie Delaney, Jackson Kelly (“The Pitt,” “Teacup”) as Leo Anderson, and Sofia Wylie (“The Map that Leads to You,” “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”) as Grace Franklin.

In addition, the show has added five recurring cast members, which are: Kyra Pierce (“Chicago Fire”) as Bailey Bradley, Phallon Pierce (“Chicago Fire”) as Brit Bradley, Marcel Ruiz (“Breakthrough,” “One Day at a Time”) as Tyler Santos, Orlando Norman (“The Map that Leads to You”) as Steven Maxwell, and Gabby Windey (“The Bachelor,” “The Traitors”) as Coach Miller.
Quinn Shephard created “The Body” and serves as director and executive producer. Peter Chernin, Amy Israel, and Josh Stern will executive produce for North Road along with Riley Keough, Gina Gammell, and Sacha Ben Harroche for Felix Culpa, with Blair Breard also executive producing.
