Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington Set ‘On Cinema’ Live Tour
Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington are taking “On Cinema” on the road.
On Wednesday, the duo behind the long-running avant-comedy project announced the “Certified Five Bags of Popcorn Tour,” their first since 2019. The tour announcement lines up with the Season 16 premiere of “On Cinema,” which premieres exclusively on the subscription-based HEI Network website.
The tour kicks off March 21 in Chicago and wraps up April 17 in Los Angeles. A general ticket sale begins on Friday, Oct. 3 at 10 a.m. local time.
Since debuting in 2011, “On Cinema” has evolved from a played-straight send-up of a Siskel & Ebert-style movie review show to a sprawling cinematic universe. Heidecker and Turkington have launched multiple spinoff series, including the Adult Swim action spy spoof “Decker” and the 2019 political parody “Mister America.”
