Oscar Isaac to Lead Las Vegas Casino Series at Netflix From Brian Koppelman, David Levien
Oscar Isaac is set for the lead role in an upcoming Netflix drama set in a Las Vegas casino.
The show was originally announced in December and hails from creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien. Netflix has given the show an eight-episode order.
With the casting, Isaac has also entered into a producing deal with the streamer, under which Netflix will have first-look rights on film and series projects with Isaac, Elvira Lind, and Gena Konstantinakos’ production company, Mad Gene.

The casting and first-look deal expand Isaac’s relationship with Netflix. He first partnered with the streaming giant on the film “Triple Frontier,” which was released in select theaters and then on Netflix in 2019. Most recently, he starred in Guillermo Del Toro’s Oscar-winning take on “Frankenstein” for Netflix in the role of Victor Frankenstein. He is also one of the leads of “Beef” Season 2, which debuted on April 16.
The official logline for the Vegas show describes it as an hour-long drama “set in the high-stakes, sharp-elbowed present-day Las Vegas casino business, which is a modernized but still dangerous version of the legendary city. At the center of which stands Robert ‘Bobby Red’ Redman (Isaac), president of the hottest hotel casino in town, who has to make some long odds moves to try and secure his position and take more ground.”
Koppelman and Levien are writers, executive producers, and showrunners. Isaac will executive produce in addition to starring via Mad Gene. Martin Scorsese and Sikelia Productions also executive produce along with Julie Yorn and Rick Yorn for Expanded Media, Paul Schiff, and Beth Schacter. Kerry Orent will co-executive produce. JC Chandor will direct and executive produce.
