‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Case Study Among Panels Set for 2nd Annual Unscripted Executive Summit
A deep dive into the successful launch of the hit Hulu series “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is among the panels and discussions set to take place Tuesday, Sept. 9, during the second annual Unscripted Executive Summit. The event, held by the unscripted production industry trade group NPACT, will take place at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles.
The one-day event will gather execs and producers to discuss the future of the unscripted biz — “including creative trends, emerging business and investment strategies, brand and partner strategies, and more,” the org said. This year’s focus will be especially on the growing creator industry and the talent hailing from that world, and how that will continue to inform the next generation of unscripted programming.

“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” falls into that vein, as it centers on the “MomTok” group of TikTok influencer-moms. The show, which was recently nominated for an Emmy in the outstanding unstructured reality program category, will be repped on the panel by Rob Mills, exec VP of unscripted and alternative entertainment, Walt Disney Television; executive producer Jeff Jenkins (president of Jeff Jenkins Productions, a joint venture with 3BMG); executive producer Lisa Filipelli (partner, Select Management Group) – and some of the stars of the show to be announced later.

Other sessions during the day will include chats with entrepreneur and creator Jordan Matter, Sony Pictures TV nonfiction prexy Eli Holzman and A+E Global Media president of programming Rob Sharenow.
Also set to speak on panels: Hali Anastopouli (Get Me Out Productions), Rosanna Bilow (CAA), Ryan Broussard (Wrapbook), Samir Chaudry (The Colin and Samir Show), Luke Kelly-Cline (Hartbeat), Toni Gray (Dhar Mann Studios), Sammie Hao (ReelShort), Jeff Hasler (Original Productions), Parker Jones (Towerhouse, a V10 Entertainment Company), Ryann Lauckner (Fulwell Entertainment), Gregg Moscot (Moscot Global Production Services), Sara Rea (Hello Sunshine), Colin Rosenblum (The Colin and Samir Show), Banks Tarver (Left/Right), Courtney White (Wheelhouse Entertainment) and Jessica Zalkind (Wheelhouse Entertainment).

“The Unscripted Summit has quickly become the go-to forum for top producers and execs in unscripted to gain insights and share strategies about the future of our rapidly evolving business,” said NPACT general manager Michelle Van Kempen, and Daniel Rosenberg, senior VP of global business development at Talent Systems, in a joint statement. “This year is all about change and adaptation – including a deep dive on the effect the creator economy is having on legacy media and production. Unscripted was built on innovation, entrepreneurship and embracing opportunity, and we’re excited to present vital information to the leaders of our industry as they continue to succeed and shape the future.”
NPACT and Talent Systems (Staff Me Up, Cast It Reach, Casting Networks and Spotlight) will co-present the Summit.
