CBS has announced its fall daytime programming premiere dates, including the debut of a brand new pricing game from “The Price Is Right.” “The Price Is Right,” the network’s longest consecutively running game show, returns for its 54th season beginning Sept. 22. Hosted by Drew Carey and announcer George Gray, contestants will continue to compete in another season for cash, cars, vacations and other prizes.
The season premiere will also debut “The Lion’s Share,” a brand new pricing game in partnership with BetMGM. Competitors will get the chance to win trips, cars and a cash jackpot worth up to half a million dollars.
Additionally, “Let’s Make A Deal” will kick off its 17th season on Sept. 22 as well, with Wayne Brady returning as the host. Announcer Jonathan Mangum, model Tiffany Coyne and musician Cat Gray also rejoin Brady for the new season. The show will feature special guest appearances from Jeff Probst (“Survivor”), Phil Keoghan (“The Amazing Race”) and Danielle Pinnock (“Ghosts”). CBS’ longest-running scripted series, “The Young and the Restless,” continues with its 53rd season on Oct. 7. The official logline for the upcoming season states, “relationships are tested, unexpected romances flourish and a puzzling mystery leads to shocking revelations.” “The Bold and the Beautiful” marks its 39th season beginning Sept. 15 and will revolve around “families being reunited, love once lost being rekindled and boardrooms fueled by fashion,” per CBS. In its debut season, CBS’ newest drama series “Beyond the Gates” continues with new episodes, including a crossover with “The Bold and the Beautiful” in the fall.
Disney Branded Television has unveiled the official trailer for “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire.” The series will premiere on Disney Channel on Sept. 12, with all episodes to stream on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand beginning Oct. 15. “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire” tells the story of a “tween vampire girl named Vampirina (Kenzi Richardson) who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Living amongst humans for the first time, she pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire identity a secret, something that’s made more challenging when her overprotective father charges an overzealous ghost to live with her at the school.” The series stars Jiwon Lee, Shaun Dixon, Milo Maharlika, Faith Hedley, Kate Reinders, Jeff Meacham and Kim Coles. Dan Cross and David Hoge serve as showrunners for “Vampirina: Teenage Vampire.” Cross, Hoge, Tim Federle, Bronwyn North-Reist, Meg Deloatch serve as executive producers, with the series being developed for television by Randi Barnes. The Paley Center for Media has unveiled its latest exhibit, Celebrating The Ultimate Workplace Comedy: From “The Office” to “The Paper.” Presented in collaboration with Universal Television, the exhibit celebrates both comedies and will run from Sept. 19 to Nov. 16 at The Paley Museum in Midtown Manhattan, N.Y. The exhibit features a behind-the-scenes look at “The Paper” and its spinoff, “The Office,” which premiered with all 10 episodes on Sept. 4 on Peacock. The Paley Museum will kick off the exhibit with a red carpet event featuring members of the cast and creative team behind “The Paper” on Sept. 18. The event will include a screening of the first episode of “The Paper” followed by a conversation with Oscar Nuñez, Alex Edelman, Chelsea Frei, Eric Rahill and Paul Lieberstein. Tickets for the event go on sale to Paley members on Sept. 8 and to the general public on Sept. 9. Additionally, the Paley Museum will also screen episodes from “The Office,” including “The Dinner Party,” “The Injury” and the series finale.
New Regency has announced “Balestra,” a new psychological thriller starring Manny Jacinto and Cush Jumbo. The series will premiere on streaming services in late Sept. “Balestra” follows “a competitive fencer who agrees to test an experimental device that allows her to train inside lucid dreams. As she pushes the limits of her mind and body, she encounters a mysterious stranger who threatens to unravel her marriage, her sense of self, and her pursuit of Olympic gold.” Additional cast members for the show include James Badge Dale (“1923”) and Christin Park (“Charmed”). The series will be directed by Nicole Dorsey, with a script written by Imran Zaidi. “Balestra” is based on an original story idea by Aron Coleite. “Balestra” is the second release of five new original titles in New Regency’s QCode slate.
