Twenty One Pilots made a grand debut atop the album charts this week, with the group’s new record “Breach” bowing at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. “Breach,” which is the band’s second chart-topper, earned 200,000 equivalent album units in the United States, with 169,000 in traditional album sales, in part due to its availability in 15 vinyl variants. This marks Twenty One Pilots‘ biggest week ever and the largest for a rock album since Tool’s “Fear Inoculum” in 2019.
Elsewhere, Ed Sheeran earns his eighth top 10 album with “Play,” which bows at No. 5. The “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtrack dips from No. 1 to 2, while Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem” sits tight at No. 3 and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Man’s Best Friend” drops to No. 4. Coming in slots six through 10 are Justin Bieber’s “Swag,” Alex Warren’s “You’ll Be Alright, Kid,” SZA’s “SOS,” Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” and Sombr’s “I Barely Know Her.”
On the Billboard Hot 100, “KPop Demon Hunters” continues its reign with Huntr/x’s “Golden,” which holds steady at No. 1 for a sixth week. It becomes the longest-leading topper from a soundtrack this decade and eclipses “Encanto”‘s “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” which crowned the chart for five weeks in 2022. Warren’s “Ordinary” stays at No. 2 on the Hot 100, while Carpenter’s “Manchild” maintains at No. 3, Wallen’s “What I Want” rises to No. 4 and Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop” holds strong at No. 5. Rounding out the top 10 are Saja Boys’ “Your Idol,” Ravyn Lenae’s “Love Me Not,” Bieber’s “Daisies,” Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” and Huntr/x’s “How It’s Done.”
