‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Replaces ‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 as Netflix’s No. 10 Biggest English-Language TV Title Ever With 94.5 Million Views So Far
Season 2 of “Wednesday” entered Netflix‘s list of its most popular English-language TV titles of all time during Part 2’s second week of availability.
It was expected that the season would eventually make the list, as Season 1 of “Wednesday” remains at No. 1. Season 2 has hit a total of 94.5 million views so far. Netflix compiles its all-time lists by calculating each title’s total views until 91 days after its premiere — or in the case of a multi-part drop like “Wednesday,” until 91 days after the final episodes are released. That means that the Jenna Ortega-led series still has until early December to continue climbing higher on the chart. Season 2’s addition to the list knocked off the previous No. 10 title, which was “Stranger Things” Season 3.

Despite the achievement, “Wednesday” wasn’t the top TV show of the week of Sept. 8-14. That title went to the Canelo vs. Crawford boxing match with 17.7 million views, while “Wednesday” Season 2 followed with 15 million. And “Wednesday” Season 1 continues to see renewed attention, landing in sixth place.

More to come…
