The “Yellowstone” spinoff focused on Beth and Rip will feature another familiar face, with Finn Little set to reprise his role as Carter in the series. Variety has confirmed with sources that Little will appear in the upcoming Paramount+ show after having originally played Carter beginning with the show’s fourth season. He joins previously announced leads Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser.
Reps for Paramount+ did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.
In “Yellowstone,” Carter is a troubled teenager whose father dies of a heroin overdose. He meets Beth (Reilly), who takes a shine to the boy, and is given a job at the Dutton ranch. Rip is at first unimpressed with Carter but soon takes him under his wing, teaching him the ins and outs of cowboy life.
In addition to his time on “Yellowstone,” Little previously starred in shows like “Tidelands” and “Reckoning.” He has also been in films such as “The Surfer,” “Those Who Wish Me Dead,” “Storm Boy, and “Angel of Mine.” He is repped by Paradigm and Hansen Jacobson The Beth & Rip spinoff series has been in the works for some time, with the last major update coming around the time of the “Yellowstone” series finale in December 2024. At the conclusion of “Yellowstone,” Beth and Rip leave the Dutton ranch — which has been sold to the Standing Rock Reservation — in favor of a smaller ranch in Dillon, Montana. The spinoff is believed to pick up with the couple in the aftermath of the finale. The “Yellowstone”-verse has continued to expand. Along with the mothership show, Paramount has already aired the prequels “1883” and “1923,” with “1944” up next. Then, in addition to the Beth & Rip spinoff, Luke Grimes will reprise the role of Kayce Dutton in a drama at CBS.
